Hello everyone,
My name is Paige, and I learned about this site from watching st1ka's review of Alex Kidd in Miracle World 2.
I mostly collect for the Genesis/Mega Drive, but have recently gotten into the Master System thanks to picking up the Power Base Converter a couple of years ago. My collection is largely made up of North American games (I am located in the US), but lately I have been getting games released in PAL territories as well as some Sega Mark III games. I'm glad the NA/PAL cartridges are the same size and region-locking doesn't seem to be an issue, so I can play all those games released in Europe that never made it to the States! I also have a Sega Mark III console to play my Japanese games.
All told, my collection stands at about 35 games, but as I learn more about the system I hope to expand it!
Thanks for reading!

Hi and welcome to the club,
35 games isn't too bad for starting off with.
There's many great games to seek out.
What's your favourite so far?
I love Road rash, paperboy and ghouls and ghosts r-type gets a bit of play as well.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
So far, my favorite games are Phantasy Star, Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap, and Zillion. I also really like Kenseiden, Fantasy Zone, Sonic 2, and Astro Warrior.
Road Rash is one of the games on my Master System wishlist! From what I've seen in videos, it looks so much like the Genesis version it's unreal! In general, I think Genesis/Mega Drive games that received a port on the Master System are fascinating.
R-Type is a game I've been wanting to get into, since I've heard so many great things about the game, but it hasn't "clicked" with me yet. Embarrassingly enough, I always die right away on the first stage when you enter the rotating circle/"C" shape of enemies that fire at you when you're at the center... I think I just need to spend a weekend getting used to the game.

When entering the circle of guns keep lower, the add on pod that is picked up can soak up some bullets, Phantasy star is a favourite too and so is fantasy zone 1&2. Desert strike is a good conversion as well
