Came home to find these on my game shelf but I have to wait 4 weeks until my birthday to open them! 4 weeks of torture ;-)

Now that's going to take some serious willpower!

Now that's going to take some serious willpower! Yea but the threat of having parts of my anatomy removed if I open them certainly helps ;-)

lol that's cool. 4 weeks is insanely organised, normally I'm shopping at the last minute. Last time I had to wait 4 weeks to open a game was Christmas 92 for Sonic 2, seemed an eternity.

Can't you compromise on one a week leading up to your birthday or something?
I don't think I've ever received a birthday gift from my wife that I actually waited till my birthday to open. No willpower at all.
That's awesome though mate!

Mine asks me what I want and then buys it, even going so far as to take me to choose it lol
She thinks I don't like surprises, I do but I am like a kid at christmas lol, which is a bit odd for a nearly 35 year old man

Oh boy, torture indeed! I don't think my gf would have any problem doing the same thing! She usually buys me the things I wish for when it's retrorelated, but she can be good with surprises too. I've been looking for a specific arcade cabinet for a good while, and last week I saw in a local ad that the model I had been looking for was for sale only about 30 mins away from where I live. I contacted the seller and we made an appointment, that I'd come by on friday to make a deal, and he assured me that I'd be the first to see it. I was really looking forward to it, but the next day he messaged me saying that he had to cancel our appointment, because he had already sold it. I understand that he was just glad to get it sold, but I was still quite displeased that he didn't honor our agreement. Eitherway, gf sensed my disappointment, and when I came home from work the day after, these two mini arcade machines had been put on my desk She had made them at school (she's studying to become a graphics designer - the knight statue I added later ) - a small gesture, but it really did cheer me up

She's obviously very good at what she does. I hate when people agree to save something and then contact you to say they've sold it. It has happened to me a few times and its really frustrating.

Too bad they are just 10 empty boxes. I cant keep the secret anymore. Mrs. Nearbythiscafe contacted me to buy 10 of the worst condition boxes I had. She said it was either that or 10 copies of F16 Fighter, LOL.
Seriously though, I am so envious. I haven't received a Sega gift from my wife in years. Even the wrapping paper is awesome.
