Thanks for your responses. The general consensus seems to be that I would get better sound quality from a £20 boombox from Argos.

Better than what? It's all relative. Better than vinyl through a decent system? Doubtful. Better than an MP3? Probably.

Here what I bought today in a new cash store who just open close to my flat: I got a collection of 70 or so LP and EP. And I've an installation with 180W, it's my favorite way to listen music and make the neighborhood mad^^

Cool stuff! I mean, the Patti Smith alone Umaguma brings back memories too. It's one weird album.

Speaking of: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H26jKokr5UJohnny strikes again! How apropos. Check out this freak reviewing a couple video game music albums. BTW, I come from the era when being a freak was a good thing because normality is just another form of fascism after all. Think about it! Enjoy!

Anyone interested in buying some vinyl? I have Pink Floyd "the wall", Ozzy "bark at the moon" and Quiet Riot " metal health". No need for them, not sure how I even acquired them. All in good shape, can provide pics. Offers?

I've been buying a lot of vinyls these days. I hope to be able to take a picture with all my collection soon.
Here my top 3 LP of 2015:
1.Ratatat - Magnifique (got it the first day, but I was weak and I listened to the album many times in mp3 and then in flac). 2. Jamie XX - Colors (got it for Christmas but been listening since it's out), 3. Dead Weather - Dodge and Burn (got it the fist day, knowing only 2 songs).
3 weeks ago, I finally found a working cassettes player for 7 euro (Marantz), I have only 2 mixtape cassettes from my childhood but it's cool to listen at them sometimes.
Not vinyl or cassette related, but 10 days ago I bought a Roland MC 303 for a pretty fair price (when I see the price in England for example^^). I don't know all about the machine yet, I've a 80 pages manual to read before^^
I did a little video just for fun the other day, using only material from the 90s or before, the cassette was made when I was a child (I don't remember exactly when).

Haven't had a turntable for a while, but still have my LPs, so recently I decided to get a turntable once Again and I found a good deal on a Technics SL-1710. Since the stylus seemed quite worn, I've ordered a new one which I am going to install this weekend

Very nice turntable!
Where did you get the stylus from? Online store? I can't find a proper one for my old GEC turntable...
