I was going through my Sega card games yesterday and noticed that instead of the normal plastic sleeve for storing the game in the case, my copy of Super Tennis instead has a slightly different styled sleeve (it opens at the top instead of the side), and that sleeve is glued into the plastic hard case.
I've had this game since I was little (pretty sure my dad bought it new back in the 80s, but I don't know). Was this some kind of packaging variant, or something done after market? All of my other card games have normal sleeves and aren't glued into the box.

Do me a favor and check the back cover. Where it says " Now there are now limits" is there a ® or the letters "sm"? Thanks.

Sorry it took so long. The letters on the back just say "SM": Here's the protective sleeve. It looks slightly too big for the case, which makes me wonder if this was done after the fact, but it does appear to be rather professional looking: The protective sleeve appears to be glued to the case: Anyone have any ideas?

Pretty sure it's a homemade job, I've never seen it before and can't believe that would be done in the factory.

I also would agree it was done by somebody who owned the game before, never seen the top loading plastic sleeve or that it is glued into the case on any Sega Cards.
