I love Bust a Move -- Almost a proper SMS Game, Some Games need work..In Brite Man Stage in Mega Man ..I couldn't see sometimes
Battletoads - Love it, Sega should of got the rights to make this a true Master System Games
I hope people still converting Games, I want to see more...I know it going to be hard learning Z80, But I want to convert it myself

Battletoads was slated for the SMS at one point, though the screenshot printed in Sega Master Force was grainy, suggesting the Game Gear version and they actually meant to refer to Battlemaniacs (which was a remake of the original anyway). That did get reviewed in a few magazines at the time, and eventually was released in Brazil.
Quite a few games were scheduled for SMS versions, only to be pulled - leaving just the Game Gear version.

If you don't, it will be a little bit harder, but not impossible if you're motivated

Personally, I'd love to see Ax Battler and GG Shinobi 2 converted. I mentioned this in an SMS Power thread but it's always baffled me why Sega made Cyber Shinobi for the SMS but never bothered porting the GG Shinobi games... I mean between the original Shinobi and the Alex Kidd game they were obviously capable of putting decent ninja games on the home console.

Most cross platform games were somewhat crippled on the Game Gear as they were designed for the larger screen. The GG Shinobi games were made for the GG, conversions would need a lot of adaptation work.
Also, GG Shinobi came out in 1991, the year after Cyber Shinobi. The Mega Drive was out worldwide then and the SMS effort was much reduced outside of European developers.

That did get reviewed in a few magazines at the time, and eventually was released in Brazil. Is there any chance I could see that Sega Master Force printing? Also, Battletoads and Battletoads in Battlemaniacs are actually distinctive games despite the fact that Battletoads in Battlemaniacs is pretty much a carbon copy of Battletoads by using essentially the same or similarly themed levels (though less of them). But different games after all, that means that they had their licensing agreements for conversion duties (as Rare itself only developed these games for Nintendo consoles) done separately. Battletoads for Sega consoles (Mega Drive, Game Gear) was licensed to Sega, while Battletoads in Battlemaniacs for Sega consoles (Master System) was licensed to Virgin, so you can't mix both even if involving the same console/s. Therefore, the rumored Battletoads for the Master System and the first cancelled but then released Battletoads in Battlemaniacs for the Master System don't relate each other. So if that Sega Master Force magazine was claiming for a Master System release of Battletoads and showed what seemed to be a pic of Battletoads for the Game Gear, then it was actually a Master System version of Battletoads published by Sega (the development of the Mega Drive and Game Gear versions was handled by Arc System Works, dunno if this one would have been tasked to them too) after all and not the Master System version of Battletoads in Battlemaniacs which was going to be published by Virgin (the development was handled by Syrox Developments, who did some other conversions of Virgin Games like The Jungle Book and The Lion King) and was eventually published by TecToy. Speaking about the possibility of an unreleased Master System version of Battletoads, I'm also wondering why Virgin didn't license conversions of Battletoads in Battlemaniacs also for the Mega Drive and Game Gear. Then again, the fact that Virgin didn't end up publishing the Master System version could have meant something in that regard. Maybe if the Master System version would have been released when it should, then the Mega Drive and Game Gear releases would have followed afterwards, kind of what happened with The Jungle Book, but then something ruined the agreement between Rare and Virgin just before the Master System version was actually released. I'd like to see captain america & the avengers converted There's already a barebones conversion of that one.

From Computer Trade Weekly, September 28, 1992; Interesting. So it was Virgin who actually licensed the development/publishing of a Master System version of Battletoads! Partly due to Sega dismissing it first and instead securing just the Mega Drive and Game Gear versions as those could be published in North America where the biggest selling audience of the license was, although both versions in North America were actually published by Tradewest (probably as part of the agreement) and leaving Sega with publishing duties only for Japan and Europe. But in the end, no Master System version of Battletoads was ever released. Maybe what happened was that Virgin took so long to actually set up the development of a Master System version of Battletoads, they actually ended up dismissing it and went for the license of Battletoads in Battlemaniacs instead, as it was a more recently released game in the series than Battletoads itself, hence why Virgin actually came up with a Master System version of Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (although in the end it wasn't released, at least not by then and not in Europe) and not with a Master System version of Battletoads as initially expected. This could also explain why they didn't have the license for Mega Drive and Game Gear versions of Battletoads in Battlemaniacs as maybe it was a direct trade off their older Battletoads license for the Master System (I still believe they would have gone for them if the Master System version would have been released when it should, especially considering that a Game Gear conversion wouldn't have been so hard to do). The Sega Master Force scan attaches a screenshot of the Game Gear version, but this was probably based on inaccurate/erroneous assumption. The Game Gear version was developed by Arc System Works for Sega and I don't think Virgin would have used a conversion of that one for the Master System. Probably they would have developed a distinctively different version from the ground up, and who knows, maybe much more similar to the NES version than the Game Gear one actually is.
