I've been learning a bit of woodworking and wanted to share something I made recently - it's a cabinet for my newer consoles... the ones with progressive output (including the Dreamcast with VGA adapter.) When closed it looks kind of like a dresser, but instead of drawers they are just little doors held in place with small magnets. The larger bays hold the consoles and the smaller ones hold controllers, headsets, and cords. Appropriately (in my mind), the Dreamcast has the top position. I do need to dress the cables in the back but I just wanted to make sure everything was going to work with the monitor next to it before wrapping them up.

Nice work! Good to see the Dreamcast take top shelf. Nice to know you have your priorities in order ;>

That's awesome, special credit for the DIY skills! Just just bought some IKEA shelf units for my consoles/controllers, because I tested my DIY skills on making a support to let me rotate my TV. It works, but it is not as pretty as I imagined it in my head!

Excellent
I designed and made furniture at Uni so I can understand the effort gone into this. Good idea with the fronts, looks tidy and will stop some dust.

Excellent work! I too built some custom shelving for my games. Two birds, one stone... Got to buy one those KREG Tool set ups and build a beautiful display. Every fastener is hidden. If you're not familiar with the company and plan to continue with some woodworking check them out...great woodworking/furniture building tools.

Thanks for the recommendation! Someone else recommended that to me about a year and a half ago but I forgot the name in the meantime. I like trying to keep those fasteners concealed.
Eventually I want to make another cabinet for my older consoles, possibly that will also serve as a table for my big Trinitron CRT TV. But I don't have a good space for it now. As it stands, I've got them tucked into a closet - still set up and playable, but obviously not ideal.
