| | Pimp My System Competition: SUBMIT ENTRIES « Thread Started on Jun 11, 2007, 8:37pm » | |
Well, time to get something going here, still have yet to hear back from Steve so I'll give him a holler while we do something else. Everyone has been waiting for it, so we're going to do the Pimp My System competition. I'll announce the prize a bit later, post if you're interested in doing it post here so I can get a body count, I know there are at least 3-4 people that wanted to do it. The rules are thus:
1. You can only submit ONE pimped system.
2. System pimpage consists essentially of modifying your SMS (any type) COSMETICALLY. New paint job, adding some rims, whatever your fancy. Electronic alterations can be included in the pimpage, but keep in mind the main idea here is how it looks. If electronic adjustments are part of the design, even better.
3. I would like to see at least three to four pictures of the process, because the person who wins will have a little page added to end the contest, kind of like the show on TV we have here. In addition, make sure you have a really nice one of the end product for the voting.
4. All entries will be posted on the site and voted on through the forum. Of course, whoever gets the most votes within the alloted time for voting wins.
5. Each entry will get a little blurb about the pimpage as part of the main site during voting, so again, get those pictures!
So what's the prize, well prizes? Check it out. We've got here a complete Taz in Escape From Mars as well as a boxed Super Compact. I threw in the latter because I don't need it, it's rare, and furthermore, as you can see, it needs some pimping of its own. Manual and little card thing come with it, just needs to have the antenna box fixed and it should be good to go. Box needs to be reinforced to so after you win the pimping continues!

So that's it, get to pimping and post interest, I'll keep adding a list of people who're interested and competing here.
1. rupert 2. ninjabearhug 3. playgeneration 4. Aypok 5. Kiff 6. krooper13 7. ian 8. astaroth 9. chaoticjelly 10. Peder Johnson 11. mattblah

If I still had my spare SMS that I traded to David for an SNES I might do it, but alas, I must pass on this one. Plus I have too much packing to do to have enough time to spiderpig a modded system out.

Well the building of the pimpage will probaby last at least a month or so to give everyone time to get ideas and the final product together. I may have a spare...

Awesome, that makes two, though I know eday can still be convinced. I'll be posting the prize(s) later after I finish my new GIF. I was going to have one prize, but I have something extra that kind of fits in with this comp so I figured what the hell.

this has the potential to be one great compo
i really hope a few people get involved, would need at least 5 to make it worthwile.
Is it going to be abit like the t-shirt contest wear we send them all in and you put them in a thread (with no names) and people vote?

If I've got some spare paint I may have a go at this. Any mods I do will be done by recycling stuff Ive got around, there will be no money spent on it!

You can, so long as significant cosmetic work is part of the plan. I may actually put this on the site and have a poll thing attached to it, but perhaps forum voting works better in the long run.

I'll give it a go... I have a really great idea (which I shall not divulge), but doubt I'll be able to pull it off. It's worth a try, at least. :)
