 5 MINUTE CLUES NOW ON...
« Thread Started on Oct 26, 2008, 11:54am »

THE SEGA MASTER SYSTEM TREASURE HUNT 2008

THE HUNT HAS NOW BEGUN!!!!

***NEW INFO: FOR THE WINNERS OF EACH CLUE, AN EXTRA CLUE WILL BE GIVEN (FOR THEIR EYES ONLY) WHICH WILL LEAD THEM TOWARDS THE FINAL LOCATION!!!***

**NO NEW PARTICIPANTS PLEASE - YOU'VE HAD YOUR CHANCE**

**REMEMBER I AM LOOKING FOR A SPECIFIC PLACE OR LANDMARK WITHIN A LOCATION. THE ANSWER WILL NEVER BE JUST A TOWN OR CITY**

For Example the clue could read:

I am high in the sky
In the City of Love

THE CLUE MIGHT MENTION PARIS BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO GIVE ME THE ANSWER: EIFFEL TOWER TO GET THE NEXT CLUE!

I will send everyone the 1st clue by e-mail/pm. If someone guesses correctly, they will be given the next clue the following day at 6pm (GMT). Everyone else will have to wait until the following day before I reveal the answer and send out the next clue.

If no-one answers correctly, the next clue will be given out to everyone at the start of the following week. (Monday Evening) This is to ensure there is at least 1 new clue per week

I will always send out a new clue on the Monday, but It’s best to solve the clues as early as possible, so you can get the extra clues!!!

You can e-mail/pm me any suitable questions such as ‘is it in England?’ or ‘is it an historical landmark?’ if you require some help but I will only answer them with a yes or no response.

As for the clues I have tried to make them a little bit cryptic, some are easy, some are not so easy. If you have access to the web you should be able to work things out!

The prize will remain a secret until we have a winner. Please note that the clues or any other details will not be disclosed publicly until the competition is over.(to avoid foul play!)

This is a VIRTUAL TREASURE HUNT.....I have written various cryptic clues which relate to real geographical places. You don't have to actually go to these places.

Once I get enough people, I will need them to send me the £££ up front as I don't want to end up out of pocket. ( £££ by paypal or cheque) At the same time I don't want people dropping out halfway through meaning the ones who are still left in, won't have a chance of winning a decent prize....

Do you have these kind of ideas running around in your head all the time, Phil? I admire them for their sheer off-the-wall nature :)

I'll have a bash, so sign me up. Just let me know when you want paying. As I'll be paying by Greedy b**tards (Paypal) do you want the extra to cover the fees?

I have several prize ideas depending on how many enter. I think 10 is the minimum amount of people we will need to make this thing work....

Don't worry about payment fees etc on paypal, the most I will ask from you guys is £2.00 so maybe £1.75 will go towards the prize the rest on paypal fees...I'm not going to lose (or make money) out of this!

I don't think postage will be problem either, people in the uk might get something extra thrown in as the postage will be cheaper than if someone in the States wins it.....

Right I've had a few queries about people having more time than others to work out the clues and thus have an advantage.

That probably is true, if you don't think you'll have the time, my advice is don't enter.

If you don't feel comfortable with me running the show...then don't enter!

Now people's money is involved a prize will be given to the winner. I know I did kinda a joke Treasure Hunt before, but this one is for real. When money is involved, I never joke!

I'm not going to keep the money and run off to Brazil...we're talking around £20 here which is a very small amount of money....

After the hunt is over I will probably post out the clues to everyone and reveal the answers a few days later so people can play just for fun......

This is a bit of fun, there is probably going to be between 5-10 clues, (I have decided to write a few more just in case...)
