Based on the dreadful Warren Beatty film that's based on the famous comic book......This game is actually the opposite of that dreadful film. It's really good. I played it for the first time in 5 years yesterday, and I remember when I first bought it, there was no place in The USA I could find selling it, so I had to import the game from Australia. It's a pretty cool platformer. I also like how there are enemies in the background who you have to shoot at by holding down button 1. That's a pretty unique feature. There's also these bonus stages where you have to do target practice. Button 1 fires at the left target, button 2 right target, you get the idea. But watch out though, there are certain targets you have to avoid, such as a policeman and a milkman(what the heck?), because they represent civilians.

Cool pick! I too really like the way you can alternate between shooting to the side and shooting to the back with a button. It works well. I pretty much played the first couple levels just to test it out and liked what I played. I'm looking forward to giving this a more serious look now that it's a game club pick.
And the movie dreadful? Come on! Vittorio Storaro's primary color cinematography is ace.

If you're not radcow, you weren't supposed to put up the next game. We have a whole list and PM method of doing it so nothing gets screwed up. I'll let it go and keep this here, however.

This game is terrible, it has so many flaws it isn't even funny! Such a cool idea so poorly implemented. The controls are shaky, but manageable, but man, this game has some weird gameplay. The idea of combining the two levels of play is novel, but it gets pretty tiresome after awhile. Not to mention the difficulty setting is pointless and what's the deal with The Kid? He's supposed to appear to give you life but he only appears at one point in the game when you ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH. Man.

Maybe Stan you're crap at it lol. It's a pretty good game IMO. The graphics are nicely done and the different types of levels helps reveal any boredom. The car levels are my favourite. The bonus stages are a nice touch too and a great way to gain extra lifes. The end of level boss is the most frustrating part for me and you can use up countless lives finishing him off. It's the guys who shoot at you from either side of the screen which makes it tricky. Good job you don't have to restart the level when you die though..that would have pushed me over the edge! I think this is a very underated game - the ability to shoot at the background aswell as left and right raises this game high above similar affairs such as Eswat. I can't find much to criticize, not even the music! It's frustrating but it's a game I keep coming back to. I think I love this game

You're a very, very sick man. Actually I've beaten this with no cheats. There is a point in the game, however, where shoddy programming comes through. It's in the sewer level. I forget which platform at the moment, but I believe like the fifth one. There is an enemy that continuously spawns from the right until you pass him. You need to awkwardly get him to come by jumping on it and off or something, and then moving forwards, otherwise he knocks you in the pit every single time.

That's called challenging Stan. The sewer level can get quite annoying - you have time it just right, I have lost many a life there too. I just like shooting at the windows personally!

It's not a challenge, it's shitty programming.

Yeah, time for a new one. Let me contact radcow. Yeah, XOR, if you look at the top of the list in this part of the forum, you'll see a thread called 'Members List and somethingrather'. Inside there is the list of all games we've already played.

I'm getting desperate now...haven't slept for 10 nights, wondering what the new game will be. I need answers fast, otherwise I might have to start beating random people up....
